Dark Lipstick & Lip Liner Colours!

This blog post contains a mixture of red & burgundy lipsticks and lip liner colours.
Although a red lipstick has always been a must have lipstick colour over the past two years the more darker reds and burgundy shades have expanded.

 

Lipsticks!

Ted Baker - Burgundy Lip Crayon - (Came as Gift Set) [Top Left In Picture]

I cant seem to find any of the lip crayons available anymore which is ashame as this dark burgundy is a great colour and goes on smoothly.

M.A.C - Lipstick  Odyssey - £15.50 (Debenhams) [Bottom Left in picture]
 

This is one of my favourite burgundy colours as it is vibrant burgundy colour that is long lasting wear and is a lovely smooth lipstick once applied to lips.

Barry M - Lip Paint Black Cherry 160 - £4.49 (Superdrug) [Bottom right in picture]
 

This lipstick may look nearly black but the colour is a light burgundy, I think if you kept applying layers of it over your lips you may get a darker look but may then feel you have too much product on your lips!

Topshop - Lips In Screen Siren - £8 (Topshop) [Black/white stripe packaging in picture]

This bright red lip colour looks fantastic on a minimalist make up look as the red is so vibrant. The lipstick is smooth and long lasting wear. It is very similar quality to M.A.C product lipsticks and would definitely recommend as alternative if you do not want to pay the price for M.A.C.

Topshop - Lip Bullet Wine Gum - £8 (Topshop) [Top Right in picture]
 

This lip bullet is a bright purple toned burgundy colour which looks great on! The only downside is the colour seems to smudge quite easily and with it being such a vibrant colour its easy to notice when it has smudged.  



Lancôme - L'Absolu Rouge - Moisturising Lipstick 310 - £23.50 (Debenhams)

 

Fantastic Lipstick as it hydrates lips as well as being highly pigmented in colour. Long lasting wear and also packaging is an added bonus due to the magnetic clip on lid and design.

M.A.C - Lipstick Russian Red - £15.50 (Debenhams)

 

By far my favourite red lipstick that I own! The tone of red compliment my pale skin tone and makes lips stand out! A favourite amongst my friends as well and can name it straight away when wearing it! Smooth on lips and vibrant colour, great product!

Rimmel - Moisture Renew Lipstick Dark Night 380 - £6.49 (Boots)

 

If looking for a cheaper alternative to Lancôme Moisturising lipstick I would suggest this Rimmel Lipstick as it is a nourishing, hydrating lipstick. The colour is not my favourite shade of burgundy as it is more purple colour which personally I don't believe to suit but it is a very pigmented lipstick so would recommend this product just in a different shade.

M.A.C - Lipstick Plumful - £15.50 (maccosmetics.co.uk)

 

Lightest shade of burgundy that is included as this has a slight shimmer to the lipstick which I really like as it still is quite a deep burgundy tone but the shimmer makes it softer. As with the other M.A.C products it is smooth and long lasting colour!

Lip Liners!

M.A.C - Lip Pencil Burgundy - £12.50 (maccosmetics.co.uk)

 

This is my favourite lip liner due to it having a smooth and creamy texture and does last long when wearing. I also like the colour as I often use it as a fill in colour on my lips as well as an outline alongside odyssey that was previously mentioned!

Rimmel - Exaggerate Lip Liner Red Diva - £3.99 (Superdrug)

 

Great drugstore lip liner at cheap price that helps outline lips and keep colour in place on lips. Bright vibrant colour goes along with the Topshop Screen Siren and M.A.C Russian Red Lipsticks. Would definitely recommend!
