Enhance your Lashes!

Flitter, Flutter Of Your Lashes!

This blog post is all about my favourite false eyelashes to apply and the accessories I use to apply them and enhance my natural lashes!

False Eyelashes!

I haven't really been one for applying false lashes as I always thought it looked complicated and never thought I would be able to apply them myself.
The past few years I decided to give it a go and the set of eyelashes I picked up were a natural set from the brand eylure. I can tell you I haven't tried another brand of eyelashes as they looked fabulous and applied so easily!

A bit about the brand:
Eylure was created in 1947 by two brothers, David and Eric Aylott, renowned make-up artists to the film industry.

David an...d Eric created the product, the modern false eyelash, to answer a lack of effective cosmetic enhancement in the industry. Spotting the opportunity for the wider public, the Aylotts created a brand around their invention and called it 'Eylure' from 'Eye Allure'

The false lashes have vast range from thickness and length for a more natural look to a more dramatic and full lash look.
The three sets I have photographed are my favourite sets I have worn.

The Naturals set (No 031) are great everyday wear to add just a slight fuller look to your natural lash. Only cost £4.95.

The Volume set (No 101) are great for adding extreme thickness and creating a more dramatic look as the lashes are shorter - my favourite to wear on nights out! Only cost £5.95.

The lengthening set (No 116) are great for wearing for maybe a day time special occasion for example a wedding, as they aren't as thick for a dramatic look but add length and slight fullness to lashes to enhance the shape and open your eyes. Only costs £5.05

All these sets I have mentioned are the strip lashes that is supplied with the glue to apply yourself. I have tried the pre glued lashes before but didn't feel like they stayed on as long as the strip lashes. They last long and fit perfectly for all eye shapes! They are all re-usable for a few wears and come with step by step guide and tips on how to apply them!

They also have sets available for beginners that comes with an applicator and trial lashes to practice!

If you want to try wearing eyelashes then definitely check out Eylure lashes!

Accessories!

A few products that I like to use when applying lashes or even just everyday instead of false eyelashes to give them a fuller look.

Although  the Eylure false lashes do supply you with the glue I do find the applicator and the small bottle a bit fiddly! I recently purchased the Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive (£3.56 from Tesco) and have been using ever since when applying false lashes!

It dries fast and clear, has a ultra thin brush and goes on easily!

A useful tip for when applying false lashes with glue, apply the glue to lashes wait 20 to 30 seconds for glue to partly dry and become sticky then apply lashes to your lash line!

Every time I apply make up I like to use the Cosmopolitan Eyelash Curlers for £4.99 as I feel it helps to curl lashes and make them appear longer in length.

A useful tip for when using eyelash curlers is to never use them once you have applied mascara as this will make eyelashes stick to clamps and pull individual lashes out from the root! Always use before applying mascara!

Do you wear falsh eyelashes? What type are your favourite, natural or for more dramatic look?
