Real Techniques Make-up Brushes!

Favourite Make-up Brushes!

This blog post contains information on the brand of my favourite make-up brushes with a bit of a background to the creators and some of their products that I love to use!

About Real Techniques!

Real Techniques is a brand created by two sisters Sam & Nic Chapman who were always involved in make-up from a young age and career path led them to working a top brand make up counters. In 2008 they created their first YouTube video under the name 'Pixiwoo' uploading videos on tutorials of how to create make up looks, reviews of products and recreating celebrity looks! As their channel grew over the years so did their idea of creating the right tools for people to use to help them create their make up looks. Through the expanding social media it allowed them to gain ideas from what their viewers wanted.

In 2011 they launched their 'Real Techniques' brushes and gained global success with these amazing brushes! They continue to expand their range of brushes and work with fashion magazines, their own digital fashion magazine, working on TV and still continue to grow their Youtube channel which has millions of subscribers!

Products!

The Real Techniques brushes are available to buy individually or some are available in starter sets from their original brush collection.

In a starter set brushes for eyes it has 5 styles of brushes including; base shadow brush, deluxe crease brush, accent brush, pixel point eyeliner brush and brow brush. This set comes in a travel case and only costs £21.99 from Boots and Superdrug stores as well as their online shop.
This set is my favourite of their range as the brushes help define eyes with the soft layered brushes to create the make up look you want at ease! At a reasonable price for 5 different brushes I totally recommend this set!

They have a wide range of brushes for all your make up needs! The brushes include Powder face brush, stippling brush, blush brush, lip liner brush.
Each of these brushes have the same soft features and hand cut layered brush which helps enhance and buff the make-up product on to your skin. Since I have been using these products I haven't had any issues with any of the brush hairs coming loose and still feel as soft on skin. Also the simple design of the brushes makes it comfortable and light to hold and also stand up easily for storage.
They range in price from £10 to £20 depending on brush making them reasonable for such high quality brushes.

New Products!

Real Techniques have launched new line of brushes called their 'Bold Metal' collection which I couldn't resist temptation and had to buy a few of them to try to see if they were as good as their original collection. I was most definitely not disappointed!

The rose gold and silver metal looks of the brushes are one of the highlights of the product as it caught my eye straight away in the shop! The brushes have softer than ever bristles, and are weighted for optimal control and comfort as the brushes are engineered for perfect weight distribution when tipped toward the face for use.

The products I have bought which are featured are :

  • (Rose Gold brush in middle) 301 Flat Contour - £22 (Boots)
  • (Brush on left hand side in picture) 201 Pointed Crease - £12 (Boots)
  • (Brush on right hand side in picture) 200 Oval Shadow - £15 (Boots)
I couldn't imagine applying my make up without these brushes anymore, definitely recommend you to try them out and also watch Pixiwoo channel on youtibe for hints & tips and make up looks!
