Base Face Products
Primers, BB Creams, Concealers & Foundations!
This blog post covers fantastic base face products! From Primers to foundations!
Primers!
Bareminerals - Prime Time Brightening Foundation Primer - £21 (Boots)
This is my favourite product to use before applying any foundations as goes on easily to skin and helps to reduce any dry skin and redness as well as helping to illuminate skin. Only one pump of the product is needed for each appliance although it may be costly it does last. Great product for enhancing foundation would definitely recommend!
Rimmel - Match Perfection Fix & Perfect Primer - £6.99 (Boots)
This primer is great for the price it helps foundation last all day and smooth's the skin before applying foundation goes on lightly and at ease great drugstore primer!
BB Creams!
Garnier - BB Cream Skin Perfector For Sensitive Skin - £9.99 (Boots)
For days when im just sitting round the house or don't feel like applying make up day I love to apply this BB cream. It moisturises skin as well as it being tinted to act as a foundation but much lighter. It applies evenly and easily and helps to brighten skin.
Rimmel - BB Cream 9-in-1 Make-up - £6.99 (Boots)
This Rimmel BB cream didn't live up to the expectations as much as I thought it would, I felt that the product was quite thick and didn't gave a great coverage. Also the 9-in-1 make -up I thought t didn't really live up to this as it didn't work greatly as a concealer or moisturiser as it says it would on the tube. It is a reasonable price but for me its not something I would buy again. (let me know your thoughts in comments below)
Concealers!
Collection - Lasting Perfection Concealer - £4 (Boots)
Featured in my Beauty Essentials blog post this is a top concealer for such a cheap price. It's light and applies easily and gives great coverage!
Rimmel - Wake Me Up Concealer - £5.49 (Superdrug)
This Concealer is great for hiding dark fatigue circles under the eyes and stays on for a long period throughout the day. However, I wouldn't say its my favourite concealer as I don't think it hides blemishes as well as other products. For a great price though it is a good product to try and see how you feel about it!
M.A.C - Pro Longwear Concealer - £17 (Debenhams)
The only thing I can really say about this concealer is WOW! Absolutely fantastic coverage and stays on all day keeping blemishes, red marks and fatigue hidden! The only downside would be the packaging as some times its hard to get the product out with it being a pump bottle but other than that I would definitely recommend this concealer!
Foundations!
No7 - Stay Perfect Foundation - £14.50 (Boots)
This foundation feels lightweight and breathable, and gives an even-toned, beautifully smooth complexion that looks and feels fresh all day long!
Rimmel - Wake Me Up Foundation - £8.99 (Superdrug)
This foundation gives a good coverage and brightens skin by giving a glowy, sparkly look. Personally for me I thought it gave off too much of a sparkly/glitter look and doesn't have a wide range of shades available. If you are looking for a more brightened foundation certainly give this a try and its a reasonable price!
Rimmel - Match Perfect Foundation - £6.99 (Boots)
Featured on previous blog post "Beauty Essentials!" this is a great everyday foundation that applies evenly and great coverage!
M.A.C - Studio Fix Foundation - £21.50 (maccosmetics.co.uk)
This is great matte foundation that lasts long and has great coverage so only small amount is needed as it blends easily. The other positive is the range of shades available for all skin tones!
M.A.C - Studio Face & Body Foundation - £21.50 (maccosmetics.co.uk)
This is by far my favourite foundation to wear due to it being light and also giving good coverage as well as lasting long and giving a natural look to skin! Brilliant for wearing on nights out or to a special event as it doesn't feel heavy on skin! Definitely recommend to try this foundation!

Thank-you
Emma :)
I see that you've used both MAC Studio Fix Fluid and MAC Studio Face and Body foundations. Do you have a preference? I've been using Studio Fix Fluid for years and fancied a change but looking for a second opinion! From a fellow Emma :)
ReplyDeleteHey!
DeleteOut the two of them I prefer the MAC Studio face and body foundation as to me it feels bit lighter on skin once applied and I still feel as though I get great coverage and long lasting wear just like the Studio fix fluid.
I also like that as it is bit lighter you can build on the foundation with alternative protects and for me who loves to experiment with bronzers and contours and highlighters etc I think the body & face foundation is a great base foundation to enhance the other products as well!
Would definitely recommend you try it, I even think you can get it in the smaller size bottle of 50ml if you wanted to try it out instead of buying larger bottle at 125ml :)
Hope that helps!
Thanks for your comment!
