Beauty Essentials

Beauty Essentials!

In this post I will be discussing some beauty must haves! These are my favourite essential products and are great for anyone who is just starting to get interested in beauty.

In the picture above is a mixture of beauty products I regard as must have essentials for every make up bag!
First item - Rimmel Match Perfection:  This foundation is a great product for everyday wear. This is my go to foundations for days when going to university or work. It gives great coverage as it is quite a runny liquid foundation. It is a reasonably priced coming in at the price of £6.99 from stores such as Boots, Superdrug and majority of the high street beauty stores. I like this foundation as it has an spf18 protection and does seem to last all day. Due to it being quite a runny liquid you only need to use a small amount of product.
Second item - Nivea Pearly Shine Lip balm: A lip balm is a definite must have for every make up as it keeps your lips hydrated and protects from cracks and sores. This Nivea lip balm does exactly that! The Pearl shine gives off a soft shimmer to lips but there are plain Nivea lip balms available. This lip balm also has spf10 to protect lips from Uv rays. This is also a reasonable price at around £2 from high street stores and usually supermarkets stock them.

Third Item - Collection Lasting Perfection concealer: This concealer is a great buy for a high street product asit can be found in majority of high street beauty stores as well as supermarkets for the price of around £4. This concealer gives great coverage and lasts all day and I have found it to give more protection to hide any red marks or spots than some more expensive branded concealers. I would definitely recommend everyone to have one in their make up bag!
Fourth Item - Maybelline Falsies Mascara Black (Waterproof) : This mascara is available in very black or waterproof, I love the waterproof version as it doesn't smudge once applied. It is a great everyday or even night-time for going out to special occasions mascara as it does give the effect of lengthening the lashes as the brush is spoon curled which helps to grab each individual lash when applying. It comes in around £8 at majority of high street stores which is a great price as the product does last and doesn't seem to clump.
Fifth Item - Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser: This Item is great to use once a day. It is great for people with sensitive skin and helps to keep skin hydrated and smooth all day long with no harsh chemicals or ingredients being used. For only costing £4.50 and can be found at most high street stores and supermarkets. A must have beauty item!

Sixth Item - Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge: This complexion sponge is one of my favourite beauty items in my make up bag! It makes applying foundations and concealers so much easier and blends the products well with the flatter edge at the top and pointed part at bottom to achieve this. It only costs £5.99 and can be found at boots and Superdrug stores.

Seventh Item - Hair accessories. Every make-up bag should include these hair bobbles and hair grips to help lift the hair away from face and keep stray hairs in place! Costing on average of £2 each for sets at majority of stores in the high street and supermarkets is an essential you cant live without!

Thank you for reading my blog post, please share your thoughts and opinions on any of the above items or any beauty essentials you can't live without? Please let me know in comments below!

Welcome!

Hello! Welcome to my blog Beauty Confessions!

My name is Emma and I am currently a third year student at University West of Scotland! One of my modules for this year is Digital Marketing: This entails creating a blog on a topic of interest to us.
I have decided to base my blog on Beauty due to having a keen interest on beauty items and products and love nothing more than experimenting with new make up! Over the past few years my interest has increased by gaining quite a large collection of various beauty products by spending majority of wages in boots! (Can’t seem to leave boots without buying a lipstick – definitely my downfall in beauty products) I also like to read reviews, blogs and Youtube videos on certain beauty items to help me decide to buy them or not.

In this Blog I will include my opinions on beauty products that I have come across. It will include honest feedback on a wide verity of beauty products including; make-up, beauty accessories, fragrances, hair products etc.

I will be giving reviews and recommending popular products and products that haven't lived up to expectations and also providing some background information on the brands that I will be including throughout my blog. I will also provide links to some Youtube Videos from beauty vloggers that use the products and their opinions so you can gain another perspective on the beauty items.

I will include products that can be found on the high-street such as Rimmel, Barry M as well as more expensive beauty brands such as MAC, GHD & Yves Saint Laurent.

I hope you enjoy my blog and please feel free to comment your thoughts and opinions on the products and if there are any products you would like me to review, I would be happy to look into.

Thank-you!

Emma :)
